Ember - Prodigal.

I took photos of rehearsals twice and thought I knew the performance. But there is something to be said about looking through a camera hole.

Tonight, Carsen and I experienced Ember’s Performance Team’s Prodigal. It was moving and a masterpiece by Aki and MJ.

Maggie, your portrayal of the Father was on point. You captured his emotions with your movement and facials with such commitment and professionalism.

Darby, you are a JOY to watch. You LIGHT up the stage with your smile and dance. You were a delight.

Tessa your solo was a one for the books. I felt your frustration and betrayal. I’m glad you realized you were always with your Father, and everything he has is yours.

The rest of the Ember crew… BRAVO! This was a beautiful story and you told it with such care through dance. Carsen said this performance was better than Promised Land, and I believe that’s a compliment to your steadfast commitment. Y’all were good, but with each year y’all get better and it’s a thing of beauty to watch. Thank you for your commitment first and foremost to God, then to each other, and your craft.
