Harry Potter.
“Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” - G.K. Chesterton
"But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." ― Albus Dumbledore 💫
I spent the last week making Carsen’s Harry Potter birthday dreams come true, and I’m not even done yet 🤣🤪 We decided to do a photo shoot with what we currently have completed:
✅ Handmade wand
✅ Handmade broom
✅ Handmade sorting hat
We bought the costume at a consignment sale for $6, and everything else was found around the house, minus brown spray paint. Special thanks to some friends for Hedwig and the suitcases. I’m not sure who had more fun, Carsen or me.
“Let there be wicked kings and beheadings, battles and dungeons, giants and dragons, and let the villains be soundly killed at the end of the book. I think it is possible that by confining your child to the blameless stories of life in which nothing at all alarming ever happens, you would fail to banish the terrors, and would succeed in banishing all that can ennoble them or make them endurable.” - C. S. Lewis
